Create your account

1. Sign up with your email, a password, a username, and your date of birth. YOHB is for ages 13 and up, and your date of birth can't be changed later — enter it carefully. (It's never shown publicly; it powers age-based protections for members under 18.)
2. You'll be asked to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — both are linked right there if you'd like to read them first.
3. Check your inbox for the activation link and click it — your account isn't usable until you do. No email? Check spam, or use the resend-activation page.
4. Log in and you're set. You stay signed in across visits on the same device.

Heads-up: your account email can't be changed after signup right now, so sign up with an address you'll keep.

Set up your profile

1. After your first login, a prompt walks you into the profile setup wizard. Not now? Choose "I'll do this later" — it snoozes for 7 days.
2. Add as much or as little as you like: photos (profile + banner), a bio, city/state, how long you've been in the hobby, interests, and your social handles.
3. What's public: your profile page shows your photos, bio, location, socials, stats, and your garage/posts/clubs/events tabs. What's private: your real name, email, phone, and date of birth are visible only to you.
4. Choose how your name appears: by default everyone sees your @username. Prefer "First L." or "First Last"? Pick it in the display-name setting — your real name is shown publicly only if you opt in here.
5. You can edit everything later from Account › Edit Profile.

Follow people and favorite vehicles

1. Follow someone from their profile — no approval needed. They'll get a notification.
2. When you follow each other, you're automatically Friends — there's no separate friend request.
3. Favorite any vehicle you love from its page. Your favorites collect on your profile's Favorites card, and the owner gets a nice notification.
4. Your Followers, Following, Friends, and Favorites all live as tappable cards at the top of your profile.

Earn accolades

1. Accolades are achievement badges you earn automatically just by using YOHB — no claiming, no forms. You'll get a notification each time one lands.
2. There are hundreds to earn: filling out your profile and garage, posting, getting likes and follows, logging in day after day, keeping a classic (25+ years) or antique (50+ years) vehicle, having your QR codes scanned, checking in at events, and more.
3. See yours on your profile's Accolades card — grouped by category, each with the date you earned it. Solid icons are badges you received; hollow ones are for things you gave (like likes given).

Reset your password

1. On the login page, choose the forgot-password option and enter your account email.
2. We email you a reset code — password reset emails always send, regardless of your email preferences.
3. Enter the code and set your new password, then log in.

Manage email preferences

Every YOHB email includes a link to your personal preferences page, where you choose topics or unsubscribe in one click — no login needed. The full guide lives in Notifications, which also covers push notifications and the daily digest.
