YOHB – Organizer Refund Policy

This Organizer Refund Policy sets the minimum requirements for refund policies of Organizers who sell paid tickets or registrations on YOHB. It is incorporated into and supplements the YOHB Terms of Service and Merchant Agreement. It describes when you must offer refunds and when YOHB may issue refunds to Consumers on your behalf, regardless of your own stated policy.

1. You Set Your Policy Within These Minimums

You may set the refund policy for each of your events — including a refund window or a no-refund policy — provided it meets these minimum requirements and is clearly disclosed on your event page before purchase. If you do not post a refund policy, YOHB may treat reasonable refund requests as grantable.

2. Mandatory Refunds Regardless of Your Policy

Even if your policy states “no refunds,” you are expected to refund Consumers, and YOHB may issue refunds on your behalf, in the following cases: (a) you cancel the event; (b) you postpone or reschedule the event significantly and the Consumer cannot attend the new date; (c) the charge is fraudulent or a duplicate; (d) a refund is required by applicable law or payment network rules; or (e) YOHB reasonably determines that declining the refund is likely to result in a chargeback YOHB would not prevail on.

3. Your Reimbursement Obligation

You remain solely responsible for all refund obligations. Where YOHB issues a refund to a Consumer on your behalf, you must reimburse YOHB for the full refunded amount, recoverable from your Event Proceeds, payouts, reserve, or connected account as described in the Merchant Agreement.

4. Fees on Refunds

YOHB Fees are non-refundable. Payment processing fees from the original transaction are not returned by the Payment Processor. Unless YOHB indicates otherwise, a refund returns the ticket price to the Consumer, and the non-refundable fees are accounted for as described in the Merchant Agreement and at checkout.

5. Responding to Requests

You must respond to Consumer refund requests within a reasonable time (for example, five business days). Failure to respond may result in YOHB handling the request in its discretion under this Policy.

6. YOHB Discretion

All determinations under this Policy — including which orders are refunded and the refund amount — may be made by YOHB in its reasonable discretion and are final as between YOHB, you, and the Consumer. This Policy does not obligate YOHB to refund its own Fees or to fund refunds from its own resources.
