Help › Install the app
Install the app on your phone
YOHB installs straight from the browser — no app store needed. Installing puts YOHB on your home screen with its own icon, and on iPhone it's what unlocks push notifications. It's free on every plan.
iPhone & iPad
- Open yohb.io in Safari (a regular tab, not Private Browsing).
- Tap the Share button — the square with the up arrow at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. On newer iOS versions you'll see an "Open as Web App" switch — leave it on. Tap Add.
- Open YOHB from the new home-screen icon (this matters — the Safari tab doesn't count), sign in, and go to Account › Notification settings.
- Tap Enable push on this device and choose Allow. Done — YOHB now appears in Settings › Notifications like any other app.
Newer versions of Chrome and other iPhone browsers can also add YOHB to the home screen from their share menu, but Safari is the most reliable path.
Android
- Just want notifications? Open yohb.io in Chrome, go to Account › Notification settings, tap Enable push on this device, and choose Allow. That's it.
- To install: in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu (top right) and choose Add to Home screen, then Install (wording varies slightly by version — Chrome may also offer an Install banner on its own).
- Samsung Internet and Firefox work too — look for the install icon in the address bar or "Add page to › Home screen" in the menu.
- On Android 13 and newer, the browser itself must be allowed to send notifications: check Settings › Apps › Chrome › Notifications if nothing arrives.
Computers
- Chrome / Edge: notifications work right from the browser — no install needed. If you'd like YOHB as its own window, click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
- Mac Safari (macOS Ventura and newer): notifications work from the browser; manage them in Safari › Settings › Websites › Notifications.
- Windows note: Do Not Disturb (Focus) silences browser notifications — it turns itself on during screen sharing, gaming, and full-screen apps.
Troubleshooting notifications
I tapped "Block" or "Don't Allow" — how do I undo it?
iPhone (installed app): iOS never asks twice — flip it on in Settings › Notifications › YOHB. If YOHB isn't listed there, delete the home-screen icon, re-add it, and allow when asked. Android Chrome: tap the icon left of the address bar › Permissions › Notifications › Allow. Desktop Chrome/Edge: same — the icon by the address bar › site settings. Mac Safari: Safari › Settings › Websites › Notifications, change YOHB to Allow.
I turned notifications on, but on my other phone/laptop nothing arrives.
Push is per device and per browser — turn it on once on each device you use, from Account › Notification settings.
Notifications used to arrive and quietly stopped.
A few common causes: Chrome automatically switches off notifications for sites you haven't visited in a long while (just enable again); a Focus mode or Do Not Disturb is filtering them; or on iPhone, the home-screen app was deleted and re-added (which resets the permission — enable it again inside the app).
Do I lose anything if notifications are off?
No — everything still lands in the in-app notification bell, and you can get a daily email digest of what you haven't read.
